The Department of Regional NSW works with people across government, business and communities to champion regional causes. Their ‘Our Vision’ campaign, outlining immediate priorities and longer-term strategies for the state, set an ambitious target of a scripted message delivered by regular people on location from the Pacific Coast to the Outback. Another campaign was to be a ‘fly-on-the-wall’ mini documentary series of films following key staff across the state for a LinkedIn recruitment drive.
Locations representing the entire state were identified and a 5,000km route was charted across two weeks. Our two-person crew navigated historic floods, cancelled flights and last-minute schedule changes to complete the project on time for the official launch day. Similarly, our two-person crew followed each staff for the recruitment campaign for a ‘day-in-the-life’ documentary style production with each narrative edited in-house.
